Restore purchases

If you've subscribed and Restaurant Calculator asks you to subscribe again, for example on a new iPhone, iPad or Mac:

Make sure the device is signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
In Restaurant Calculator, open Settings (the gear button, or ⌘, on a Mac) and find Subscription (under About on a Mac).
Tap or click Restore purchases.

Restoring is free. You won't be charged again.

Cancel a subscription

On your iPhone or iPad:

Open the Settings app and tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions, then Restaurant Calculator.
Tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also open the App Store, tap your photo, then Subscriptions; or in Restaurant Calculator, open Settings and tap Manage subscription.

On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account Settings, and find Subscriptions. One subscription covers your iPhone, iPad and Mac, so cancelling it in one place cancels it everywhere.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Settings as shown above.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases, so we can't issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple ID you paid with.

The Spreadsheet Kit is part of the subscription, so refunds work the same way: through Apple.

Change your country

In Restaurant Calculator, open Settings › Country, or tap the flag button on the Restaurant tab. Tax, service charge, tips, currency and units change to that country's defaults. Your history stays.

Rules and sources

Tax rates, contribution tables, minimum wages and app fees are checked against official sources every month. Each tool's footnote lists its sources and shows "Rules as of" with the month and year.

Spot a wrong rate? Email us the link to the official source and we'll check it.

Your data

Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
It's included in your device backups.
Deleting the app deletes it.
There's no account, so we can't recover it for you.

Spreadsheet Kit

The Spreadsheet Kit is included with your subscription. In Restaurant Calculator, open Settings, then Spreadsheet kit, and share or save any sheet, or all of them as a .zip. It unlocks when your first paid year starts, after the 7‑day free trial.

Common questions

Does Restaurant Calculator work offline?

Yes. The calculator and tools work without a connection. Exchange rates and rule updates download when you're online.

Can I use it on iPad?

Yes. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad and Mac on the same Apple ID.

Is there an Android version?

It's coming soon. It will use the same rules and give the same answers as the iPhone app.

Which countries is Restaurant Calculator set up for?

The Philippines, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UAE and Saudi Arabia. Anywhere else, choose “Rest of the world” and enter your own rates.

Do I need an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID.

Is Restaurant Calculator tax advice?

No. It gives estimates to help you run the day. For filings, payroll and contracts, confirm with the agency or your accountant.
